Hi Beasties!
I initially created this website to help support S2 so that we could ROAR loud and proud into S3.
Of course S3 is on air and S4 is already confirmed......great news for Beasties!
However many of you are asking again how Nielsen Twitter TV Rankings work so I've quickly updated this site to help explain what they measure (click on Nielsen TTR link above)
Why are these rankings so important?
Twitter has become increasingly important to TV marketers, but its return on investment has always been a bit murky. While TV’s biggest shows and events usually trend in a big way, there are also programs which fall on either end of the spectrum: either a big ratings draw with not a lot going on over on Twitter or huge social activity with little to no impact in terms of traditional ratings. The Nielsen Twitter TV Rating should strongly benefit the latter distinction, helping networks justify – and fight for – these “water cooler shows” that drive tremendous buzz but not enough Nielsen numbers to back them up season after season. The new metric should also help move the traditional ratings needle by offering an official stamp of approval on buzzy shows that viewers will want to catch up on via time-shifted viewership.
Nielsen post a daily top 5 chart and a weekly top 10......it will be very very hard to get on to one of these charts. HOWEVER whilst we only get to see these charts, networks get to see the stats for all their shows so even we don't make the charts The CW/CBS will be able to see how much the show is being talked about.
